Cantina Le Monde
Cantina Le Monde is fast establishing a reputation for natural, high quality wines, reflecting the character of its northern Italian terroir.
Le Monde is one of the most significant producers in the Grave del Friuli. It was taken over in 2008 by the Maccan family, and the winery was subsequently entrusted to the management of the young and enthusiastic Alex, who restored the 18th century historical villa and designed the new cellar and winery.
It is the nature of the soil, the protection of the Alps to the north east and the gentle cooling breezes of the Adriatic, combining with long days of bright sunshine, that enhance the complexity and richness of the fruit.
The winemaking philosophy is to produce natural, uplifting wines that respect both nature and the traditions of the region, as well as offering a sustainable vision of the future. As a result the wines are highly rated, achieving top ratings in the Italian wine bible ‘Gambero Rosso’.
